Over the past 13 years, ambulatory EEG has become one of the most valuable tools in my practice, allowing me to evaluate patients in their natural environment over several days rather than during a brief office visit.

    I have interpreted thousands of ambulatory EEG and in-patient continuous EEG monitoring studies, and time and again they have provided critical information that routine EEGs often cannot capture. Extended monitoring has helped identify subtle seizure activity, distinguish epileptic seizures from nonepileptic events, and guide treatment decisions with greater confidence.
